At The Mass – The Chalice
At the Mass…
When we attend Mass, we learn the prayers, we learn the songs, and we know the typical actions of praise and prayer.
Have you ever taken time to learn about all the objects used by our Priests at the Consecration?
Each object has a specific name and have been used throughout the centuries when celebrating the Holy Mass.
Our first object is the Chalice (CHAL-is) – the large cup used to hold the wine that becomes the Blood of Christ. The Priest holds up this chalice at the Consecration.
